Pho Challenge
Saturday started like any other day, slow. A few hours into the day, Carl and Nina invited us to get some pho. I decided to take this all one step further, PHO CHALLENGE. The unsuspecting victim? Slo of course. A few minutes after meeting up w/Carl and co., we made our way to Pho Garden in the outer Richmond district. When we got there, there were numerous amounts of people on the “Pho of fame” wall. We thought to ourselves that If allllll of these people could do it, then Slo could too. Man were we wrong. You have to sign a waiver in order to actually do the challenge, IN CASE YOU DIE (kidding). A few minutes after ordering, they brought out the biggest bowl of pho I had ever seen in my entire life. I’m not talkin mixing bowl status, this was 3x the size of your average mixing bowl. The rules were simple, finish the entire bowl in under 1 hour (no you can’t be under the influence of anything). Canning pt. 2
So i’ve been having a hard time trying to can these little suckers. Some of the jars won’t seal properly when I boil em. I think I figured it out what I need to do tho. Batch 2 should be ready in no time. Lesson learned thus far: Don’t tighten your lids too tight before you try and seal your jars.
